Haha, how embarrassed am I that I have not written on this since Kingston was 9 months old and we were announcing that we were pregnant again. Well, now our 2nd, Sutton, is almost 16 months old and Kingston will be 3 in a couple of months. Our lives have changed so much. I am enjoying life with two kiddos immensely.
Today we actually got to go outside and play in the kiddie pool. It was Sutton's first time to actually play in the pool and no just sit since she was only 6 months old last summer. :) I have a feeling they are going to be lil' fish this summer. Cannot wait.

Another Blessing
The Friday after Mother's Day I was curious if I was pregnant again. I took at test and there it was a bright blue plus sign. Yup...we are pregnant again and Kingston is going to be a big brother.I cannot believe it. It just seems like yesterday that I was pregnant waiting for the arrival of my first baby boy. Probably because it was just 10 1/2 months ago. :)I wanted to make the surprise a big surprise for Sam. I had it all planned out. I was going to get Kingston a shirt that said "BIG BROTHER" and take him up to the salon to reveal the big news, but me with my big mouth I wasn't able to hold it in. I blurted it out when I was talking to him on the phone. Although, I did get to use my idea to tell my family. It just so happend that it was Channing's (my sis) College graduation weekend so my grandparents were in town to hear the news. It was awesome, nobody had a clue except for my mom. She thought something was up when she saw K had a sweatshirt on over his shrit and we said he had a new trick to show them. I will post a video soon! Yay for being a mommy of 2! The projected date is January 18, 2011! Updates soon. :)

My goofball...
Wow! how time flies. I cannot believe my little man is almost 10 1/2 months old. It just surprises me that I am already making plans for his 1st birthday party. Makes me sad but happy at the same time. He keeps me so busy I can't even keep up with writing a blog about him. LOL, I should have known!
Anyways, Kingston got his 1st tooth when he was 7 months old. That tooth has stayed lonly just up until about 2 weeks ago when another bottom one came in. Now he has 4 more coming in. His 2 top ones are about to bust through and his 3rd bottom tooth just poked through today. The only bad thing about him having teeth is that he thinks that it is funny to bite and pull when I am nursing him. I tell him no. He looks at me, smiles, laughs, and does it again! Mischievious already...I am going to be in trouble!
Kingston is now crawling all over the place. He started crawling around 7 to 8 months old. He went from taking a couple of crawls in the morning to crawling a little bit, sitting up by himself, crawling again, and standing up at the coffee table all in one day. It was pretty amazing how much he learned how to do so quickly. The Lord is amazing in the way he has designed us to grow and learn. I stand in awe.
I caught myself looking at his newborn pictures. He looked so small and he depended solely on us to get him around and what he needs. Now he can feed himself and stand up by himself, get his own toys, occupy himself hours on end in his pack n play (as long as he has toys, a sippy cup, and some puffs or yogurt bites :)) I know that every parent thinks that their baby is advanced and smart, but it really surprises me how much he can do and keep up with.
He has a smile that lights up anybody's day. We get stopped in every store we go to. He just looks over at all the strangers and gives them his Kingston smile. He was getting upset when we were in a store so I started acting goofy and make him giggle. He was laughing so hard and loud that I had people trying to find the isle we were on to see where this laugh was coming from. Man, it makes me smile just thinking about it.
We are so very blessed to have the son we have. God is so good in his work and I know I dont give him credit enough for everything he gives us. I love just watching K sleep so peacefully and watch him play and smile and get so happy at the smallest things. I want to have that kind of joy in my life. I am going to try to see things through his eyes, maybe everyday would be a little brighter!

The Betrothed :) Kingston and Kinley

So it has been a long time since I have been able to actually sit down and write about all of Kingston's milestones (and let me tell you there are so many). I really want to write about it all of it right now, but as for those who have little ones who now know how to crawl (yes, thats one of the milestones) I cannot keep up with him. :)
I thought I would give everybody a giggle with what I am about to post. Today I went out with one of best friends, Brandie and her daughter (Kingston's girlfriend since they were in the womb.). Jacqueline Childress is our friend and very amazing photographer who has taken all of Kingston's and Kinley's pictures since birth also. Anyway, I called and asked Jacqueline if she could take a picture of the kids in their new outfits that we had got for Easter. She said sure and told us that she knew of the most perfect place to take them. Well let me just say what I am about to post makes me feel like a horrible mom, but I can't stop everything. Just wait and see what I mean... (Sorry about the grainy video, I took it with my camera I had with me.)
The picture above is one of the pictures we just so happen to be able to take while Kingston was happy. It turned out so cute. My poor baby boy! I feel like such a horrible mommy, but I know these things happen...and I was right there! :)

Kingston and Kinley
Last night we offered to watch Kinley for Brandie and Doug while they went out for dinner. It was def. a crazy feeling to have two car seats in the car and two babies to get fed. I give parents who have multiples props for what they have to do!
Kingston is at such a fun age right now, how he interacts with us and other babies. I love it so much. His personality is just shining through fairly brightly now. He is our social butterfuly! I was lucky enough to catch Kinley and Kingston talking back and forth so here is the video of them playing. :)

So much to say...just not alot of time to say it. :)
Kingston is growning and becoming more of a character everyday. It just amazes me that the little human being that was in side of me is now almost 7 months old. He is def a perfect mixture of Sam and I, but I am now def. seeing Kingston as a little Sam. He totally has his smile. I love it.
We went to the doc for Kingston's 6 month check up. All is well. He is almost 17 lbs., 24 inches long, He's right on track for his body. Our doctor said that he was pretty advanced for his age. He is already pulling himself up inside of the crib to peek over and see what is going on. He sits up by himself so easily now, just hanging out with me during the day. His eyes look at everything with amazement and excitement. When he looks at me, his face lights up and a huge smile grows over his face. It makes me melt, it makes everything I went thru worth it.
Kingston wants to talk so bad now. He now says dadadadadada, blah blah blah, all while rolling his tongue around in his mouth. It just amazes me how excited his little face lights up when he discovers something new. Everyday is a new adventure. He now sleeps most of the night in his crib, as long as he is laid on his stomach. We have gotten as much as a 9 hour stretch. It felt great, we were totally suprised. Kingston also now loves the dogs, wants to pet them and talk to them. It's really sweet to see him interact with our first babies, I know they will be friends for life! Maverick and Duchess love him alot!
I apologize for not posting often enough. I have been so busy keeping up with him, being a wife, and cutting tons of hair. I am very blessed to have the life I have and I thank God for it everyday. I will try to post more pictures of him. I still need to post our family pictures and his ridiculously, amazing 6 month pictures! He is def all smiles here! And so are we!

Christmas Day and New Years Eve.
I know it is almost January 12, 2010 but I have now learned that I cannot get the things that I want to get done as fast as I used to. Between being a mommy and a wife and a stay at home hairdresser, my life is pretty full...but I love it. I am so blessed with the life that the Lord has given me.
Anyway, Christmas day was absouletly amazing. We stayed up way to late Christmas Eve and woke up way to early on Christmas morning. We had a busy day ahead of us! We opened gifts at our house early that morning, then we were off to my parents house to open gifts with the Brooks', after that we went to Sam's sister's house to have Christmas with Sam's family. We were so tired! I made sure that everybody had something to open...even Maverick and Duchess, because we all know they were our first babies. My mom made a good point. This will be the last calm, laid back Christmas for a while. Next year we will have to be watching Kingston to make sure he doesn't hurt himself with the tree or get into his presents too early. We all know that's what we liked to do when we were younger. :)
This has got to be one of the best Christmas yet in my adult life so far. I love starting new traditions and making it special for Kingston and our kids to come. And it is kind of weird how I look at the Story of the birth of Jesus differently since I have a baby of my own. I think Kingston is something else, but man just imagine what Mary and Joseph felt knowing that he was the King of Kings and he had huge journey ahead of him. I love it!
