This weekend has been a weekend full of fun! Our relatives came into town to celebrate Christmas together. It is always nice to get together with the ones you love and have time to fellowship and catch up. We spent most of Friday, all day Saturday, and half of Sunday together. Man, Kingston was the life of the party everywhere we went. I swear he never gets put down no matter where we go. :)
On Sunday, we went to Six Flags with my family for the Holiday in the Park. We went got there at around 4:30 and stayed til about 9pm. After we left Six Flags, Sam, Kingston, and I went to the Vista Ridge Christmas party to hang out with everybody. Here again, Kingston was the life of the party literally. Everybody was circled around Kingston sitting in chairs and just awwing over him. So in all we were pretty busy this weekend.
When we finally got home I decided to give Kingston some much needed belly time. And something happened that Sam and I have been waiting for. Our little man finally turned from his stomach to his back all by himself. And praise the Lord we just got a video camera to capture it. I had a feeling it was going to happen so I made sure it was on! Here it is everybody!

Seeing Santa

On Friday, Kingston and I saw Santa. I remember being young and always getting anxious when I knew we were going to see the "jolly ol' man". I wasn't going to take him at first because of how I thought, then I began to think I would regret not taking him for the first time.
Since had waited so close to Christmas to take him, I thought I would be in line for hours. Praise the Lord I wasn't. Kingston slept while we were in line and right before we got to the front he woke up all smiles.
I set him in Santa's lap and he grabbed Santa's finger and began to smile. I am very blessed to have a smiley, happy baby boy. It was a great experience!

Wishing I would have started earlier...
Looking back to all that has happened in the last 15 months and those leading up to it I wish I would have started writing about the memories that were made. But instead of dwelling on it I have decided to start now! Today we went to go get our family pictures taken by our friend Kayde Lane. She has taken our family pictures last year when I had just found out I was pregnant, our belly pictures right before Kingston was born, and now our family pictures with Kingston in the mix. We had so much fun! It was quite challenging to get both Maverick and Duchess to sit still and behave but to make sure that Kingston was happy and ready to go...without his little thumb in his mouth. :) Sure enough, Kayde did a great job and I cannot wait to see the finish product. I will be posting the pictures soon right after I get them!
This week has been a week of firsts for us. We put Kingston in the nursery for the first time at church. It about broke my heart. During Monday night dinner at my parents we fed Kingston rice cereal for the first time. He absolutely loved it! It was hilarious because he put his full face in the bowl he was so eagar to eat. I cannot believe my little man is getting so big! Sam, got down the exersaucer out of the attic for King to be able to play in and he also loved that too.
Kingston turned 5 months on the 16th. Almost half a year. I turned 25 eight days earlier. I am now a quater of a century. LOL...I know, I know, I am not old. It's just crazy to think that way.
How I love this time of year. Christmas means so much more to me having Kingston now. I want to make Christmas and all the other holidays so special for him and our other children we will have one day. The Lord has been so good to bless us with our family. I could not be happier!
